Avifauna Diverter / Protector – SFDY / BFDY is promotes a visual highlight, to keep small, medium, and large birds away from long-span messenger, conductor and/or optical cables. Lightweight, with little wind resistance, applied quickly and conveniently by hand, or with a live line pole. The shield remains in the applied position, not moving along the span, even when subjected to wind vibration or other conditions. Manufactured from high-density PVC, it is resistant to severe weather conditions, salinity, or industrial pollution. For low and medium voltage, the Avifauna Diverter/Protector is applied to the phase conductors (bare or covered). For high voltages, it is used in lightning rod cable.
