In 2026, MacLean Brazil celebrates 25 years of a journey defined by growth, innovation, quality, and commitment to its customers. It is a history built by people who, for more than two decades, have helped transform a small manufacturing business into a respected company in the Brazilian electric utility industry.
Founded in 2001 in Mogi Mirim as Iprel – Indústria de Produtos Elétricos, the company began operations with only eight employees. From the very beginning, it focused its efforts on developing and manufacturing reliable formed wire products for electric power distribution and transmission networks.
In 2013, this history entered a new chapter when Iprel was acquired by MacLean Power Systems of the United States. The integration combined extensive knowledge of the Brazilian market with the global experience, technology, and innovation capabilities of one of the industry’s most established international groups.
Today, MacLean Brazil employs more than 200 people and is a leading manufacturer of formed wire products, automatic splices, connectors, and other solutions for electric power distribution and transmission lines. Its portfolio also serves the telecommunications and rural electrification markets, contributing to the expansion and reliability of Brazil’s infrastructure.
The company supplies 100% of Brazil’s electric power distribution utilities and continues to expand its presence among transmission line operators, providing a growing range of products for technically demanding applications. This presence reflects the trust earned over the years and the company’s ability to meet different standards, specifications, and field requirements.
The company’s operations also extend far beyond Brazil. Products manufactured in Mogi Mirim are currently exported to 30 countries, bringing the quality of Brazilian manufacturing and the MacLean brand to markets across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
